Vanliners has confirmed its return as Platinum Headline Sponsor of the Wigan Business Awards for a third consecutive year.
Continuing a partnership built on shared support for Wigan businesses and the people behind them. The announcement comes during a standout year for Vanliners.
Managing Director Janine Rees, was recently named Businesswoman of the Year at the Enterprise Vision Awards. She is also a finalist herself in this year’s Wigan Businesswoman of the Year category.
For Wigan Business Awards organisers Nic & Jo of Launch North West, the partnership also reflects something they are seeing increasingly across the local business community: women backing women while continuing to grow businesses, create jobs and support their wider communities.
Vanliners has had a busy year, they’re continuing to expand and are currently recruiting as the business looks to strengthen the team further.
Three Years of Backing the Wigan Business Awards

A Big Year for Vanliners
The company has also had a significant year outside the day-to-day business.
In October, friends, family, colleagues, customers and supporters came together for the Dave Rees Memorial Ball, held in memory of Vanliners founder Dave Rees and what would have been his 60th birthday.
The event raised an incredible £50,000 for Wigan & Leigh Hospice.
Women Backing Women
Janine’s own achievements have also put her firmly in the spotlight this year.
Following her Businesswoman of the Year win at the Enterprise Vision Awards, she is now also a finalist in the Wigan Businesswoman of the Year category.
