This year, the red carpet is having a bit of a rebrand.

Because Intersect Cyber & IT is sponsoring our welcome drinks with their soon to be launched CyberAssistGo.

Guests will be arriving on a very much on brand blue carpet instead,

As our guests come through the doors, they’ll be welcomed with a Mimosa or a non-alcoholic alternative.

So yes, quite literally, the first drink is on Intersect and CyberAssistGo.

Sue Johnson and the Intersect team are back supporting the Wigan Business Awards 2026, and this year they’re helping us start the night properly from the moment everyone arrives.

She has been a Wigan Business Awards finalist for the last two years, so she knows exactly what that first part of the evening feels like.

Trying to take everything in while wondering how the night is going to unfold.

Last year, Intersect sponsored our winners’ event.

This year, they’re helping us welcome everyone in.

That first drink helps the night begin.

People arrive, relax, catch up, meet someone new and finally get to enjoy the fact they’ve made it to Awards night.

This year, Intersect will be part of that moment from the start.

Nichola Howard, Co-Founder of the Wigan Business Awards, said:

“We’re big Sue fans, so having Intersect back with us again feels really natural. Sue knows the Awards from the finalist side, she knows the nerves and the excitement, and she’s continued to support what we’re building.”

“Having been a finalist myself, I know how much the build-up to Awards night means. We loved supporting the winners’ event last year, so coming back again this year was an easy decision. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone and helping get the evening started properly.”

A huge thank you to Sue Johnson and Intersect Cyber & IT for supporting the Wigan Business Awards again in 2026.

We’ll see you on the blue carpet.
