Lowton Creative Workwear and Merchandise has returned as a sponsor of the Wigan Business Awards 2026

The Lowton-based business is a brilliant example of what the awards are all about.

They first came into the WBA community as entrants. Since then, they have grown their profile, supported the platform and continued to champion other local businesses.

In 2024, Lowton Creative Workwear and Merchandise won Best New Business at the Wigan Business Awards.

In 2025, they were Highly Commended in the Micro Business of the Year category.

They also sponsored the Finalist Networking Event in 2025, helping us bring finalists together before the big night.

Now, they are returning as sponsors for 2026.

And this year, they are doing it despite not entering the awards themselves.

Lowton Creative Workwear and Merchandise provides branded workwear, uniforms, merchandise and promotional products for businesses across the local area.

The business has built its reputation on quality, reliability and friendly service.

But their connection with the Wigan Business Awards goes deeper than a logo on a sponsor board.

They have been part of the journey.

They have entered and they have won. T

As a business, they have grown, and now they’re supporting others.

Now, they are helping create the same opportunities for more businesses across Wigan Borough.

That is exactly why the awards matter.

The Wigan Business Awards are designed to shine a light on local businesses at every stage.

For some, that means getting shortlisted for the first time. For others, it means winning a category, raising their profile or building new connections.

But, for Lowton Creative Workwear and Merchandise, the awards have been part of their growth story.

Their continued support shows the strength of the WBA community. It also shows what happens when businesses do not just take recognition, but pass it on.

Nichola Howard, organiser of the Wigan Business Awards, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Lowton Creative Workwear and Merchandise back as sponsors for 2026.

“Nic and Dan are one of those Family Businesses that remind us why we do this. They came into the awards as entrants, they embraced the opportunity, and they have gone on to become real supporters of the wider WBA community.

“Winning Best New Business in 2024 and being Highly Commended in Micro Business in 2025 is a brilliant achievement. But what means even more is that they are now choosing to give back.

“They are not entering this year. They are sponsoring because they believe in the platform and want to support other businesses. That is powerful.”

Jo Leigh, Co-Founder of Launch North West and the Wigan Business Awards, added:

“Lowton Creative Workwear and Merchandise are the exact reason these awards are such a success.

“The awards are not just about one night. They are about confidence, visibility, relationships and local businesses backing each other.

“To see a former winner step forward as a sponsor again shows that the WBA community is working in the way we always hoped it would.”

Lowton Creative Workwear and Merchandise sponsored the Finalist Networking Event in 2025.

That event gives finalists the chance to meet each other before the awards night. It helps break the ice, build relationships and turn a shortlisting into something more meaningful.

Their support helped create a space where businesses could connect, collaborate and celebrate being recognised.

As the Wigan Business Awards 2026 campaign begins, their continued sponsorship will help us keep building that sense of community.

The Wigan Business Awards are independently judged and built to recognise businesses on merit.

Every finalist and winner earns their place through their story, achievements and impact.

But the awards also rely on sponsors who understand the bigger picture.

Sponsors like Lowton Creative Workwear and Merchandise help us create a platform that celebrates local enterprise, supports growth and brings the borough’s business community together.

Their journey from winner to sponsor is a reminder that recognition does not stop at the trophy.

It can become a catalyst for confidence, visibility and long-term connection.

Nominations for the Wigan Business Awards 2026 are now open.

Businesses can nominate themselves or put forward another organisation they believe deserves recognition.
