The Wigan Business Awards sponsors create an impact that reaches far beyond one night.

With the support of our sponsors, we reinvest locally, strengthen supply chains and support causes that matter to our community.

In 2024, sponsor support allowed us to work with 30 North West and Greater Manchester suppliers, including 23 based in Wigan and Leigh.

This reinvested £36,814.31 directly into the local economy, supporting business owners, their teams and families.

Even our venue, The Edge, is community-owned.

This ensures profits stay within local community resources and continue to benefit the borough.

In 2025, our commitment to local reinvestment grew by a whopping 27.6%

During the campaign, we spent £46,991.46 with 24 local suppliers, 21 of which were based in Wigan Borough.

We make a conscious choice to keep the pound in Wigan and create real opportunities for businesses within our community.

We actively commission the services of our finalists, past winners and local partners.

This turns recognition into real commercial opportunity.

Our 2024 Hospitality Business of the Year, That Secret Ingredient, returned to create this year’s dessert for our guests.

Cherry Blossoms of Wigan, a 2024 finalist, supplied our event flowers for the second year.

Lowton Creative Workwear & Merchandise, 2024 New Business winners and Micro Business Highly Commended, provided our branded t-shirts and gilets.

We also partnered with Resurrection Promotions, finalists in both 2024 and 2025, who transformed the room with bespoke décor, light-up features and sponsor centrepieces.

Our awards night also creates impact beyond the business community.

It brings people together around a shared purpose and a cause that matters locally.

Together with our sponsors and guests, we raised £4,326 for our official charity partner, Three Wishes Charity on behalf of In Memory of Baby G, through raffle tickets, cash donations and our GoFundMe appeal.

The charity was founded by our 2025 Employer of the Year winners, GHE Electrical, Fire and Security Ltd, which makes this support feel even more personal. It comes from within our own business community.

This is why the Wigan Business Awards matter.

They celebrate success, but they also create space for spontaneous generosity.

They remind us that when businesses back each other, the people of Wigan & Leigh benefit.

When sponsors support the Awards, they back the people behind Wigan’s businesses.

They back the suppliers who turn up, deliver and keep standards high, and they back the small teams who take a risk and build something of their own.

That support shows up in real ways.

It shows up in local spend and it shows up in repeat work for finalists and winners.

We’re seeing new partnerships forming, bringing fresh opportunities.

It shows up in confidence, and it shows up in pride. We’re able to champion causes close to our community.

What other campaign has the power to turn a room full of business leaders into a force for good?

Our success in Wigan is lifting others as we grow.

That is why sponsorship matters.

It keeps the impact local and keeps the story moving forward.

And it helps us deliver an event and create the legacy that Wigan deserves.

Sponsorships are selling fast with many sponsors returning for their third year with us.

We understand tight budgets, so payment plans are available.
