We’re proud to support the fundraising efforts of GHE Electrical, Fire and Security at this year’s Wigan Business Awards.

All funds raised will go In Memory of Baby G, supporting Three Wishes Charity.

Three Wishes is the official registered charity* of Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Their mission is clear: to improve patient care through staff training, medical equipment, and enhancements to the patient environment.

Rebecca and Graham Hurst launched In Memory of Baby G in honour of their son, baby Graham Robert.

On 13th March 2015, baby Graham was born sleeping. In the 10 years since, the campaign has raised over £100,000 for Wigan Infirmary’s Neo Natal Unit (NNU)—funding specialist equipment in his memory.

In 2025, they aim to raise another £10,000 to fund vital equipment and give more babies a stronger start.

We proudly support them.

Graham, baby Graham’s dad, also owns GHE Electrical, Fire and Security—this year’s sponsor of our Community Champion category.

Because of this personal connection, we wanted to do more than just say thank you. We wanted to stand beside them in raising awareness and funds for a cause that matters deeply.

Nichola Howard, MD of Launch NW and organiser of Wigan Business Awards, said:

“Speaking personally, my son was born eight weeks prematurely and spent three weeks in SCBU.

That was scary enough. I can’t imagine the heartbreak of not bringing him home.

Supporting Rebecca and Graham feels like the right thing to do—to honour those who weren’t as lucky.”

We’ve set up a GoFundMe account to support the campaign ahead of awards night.

On the night itself, we’ll be selling raffle tickets and collecting donations to raise even more.

Every penny will help fund lifesaving neonatal equipment at Wigan Hospitals’ NNU, giving more babies a better chance.

Together, we can make a real difference.

The Wigan Business Awards 2025 take place on Friday 7th November at The Edge Arena
